Two months old!!!

Dahlia had her 2 month check up with the pediatrician, and we found out that she really is our daughter. She is in the 90th percentile for height and the 50th percentile for weight. Her hair is still as red as can be and her eyes have stayed blue so far. She is now sleeping about 7 hours at a time overnight, usually with another 2 or 3 hours after her breakfast. We are very thankful for all of the sleep, it makes such a difference.

Dahlia is starting to show interest in things other than us, namely a new mobile that hangs over her crib and an arch with dangling toys that she lies under. She can whack at the dangling fish with her hands and seems to understand that she is making them move. Dahlia can spend up to 15 minutes at a time (an eternity in baby time) smiling, wiggling, and cooing at her mobile, which gives me some hands-free time to get stuff done during the day. Hopefully the charm doesn't wear off any time soon. As I wrote this Dahlia was happily smacking her dangling fish in the face, she started to look tired and eventually drifted off to sleep all by herself (though the nap only lasted 20 minutes, she is awake again...)!

Some super rad knit roller skate booties from Nathan's side of the family.

Dahlia's first 'skating' experience.

You can see how much she loved it.

This was an example of "quick, take her picture in this adorable outfit before she barfs on it." Sure enough, as soon as the flash had gone off, she tagged every layer of her outfit, even the tights, necessitating a complete wardrobe change. Who needs to be on time for church anyway?

This is the reunion picture from our childbirth class, Dahlia is the oldest. From the left: Thea (who tipped over), Dahlia, another Dahlia, Severn, Ziggy, and James (who is HUGE).

This is the reunion picture from our midwife group, Dahlia is third from the youngest here. From the left: Frankie, Max, Evi, Calvin, Oliver (another BIG boy), Emi, Dahlia, Lena, Claire (hanging off the end), and Lydia (lying in front).
