Gym-nack-a-sock-e-o (Gymnastics)

Dahlia and I started a parent and tot gymnastics class a few weeks ago and it has been amazing. It is the perfect thing for our little tornado. Lots of non-stop action, with just a little bit of waiting, turn-taking, and direction-following thrown in for good measure. She has taken to it like a natural and has actually learned some little gymnastics skills. Dahlia can do a forward roll on the carpet at home, she can touch her toes to the bar when she hangs from it (with a little help), and she is fearless in the blue foam pit. Many thanks to Nathan for going in late to work so he could come play with us and take pictures. It is not remotely possible to keep Dahlia safe and try to take pictures when I am alone with her, anywhere.

A swan dive into the blue foam pit.

Coach Christine (Dahlia says Kisseen) helps her swing on the rope.

Again!

Giraffe walking on the uneven bars.

Hang and swing. This is where she can touch her toes up to the bar.

Feen a wings Mama! (Translation: Swing on the rings Mama!)

Nathan helps Dahlia climb the inflatable mountain, she gets to slide down the other side and bounce at the bottom.

The cute little face of pure determination.

Her balance is actually pretty good.
