Sniffles update...

Well, we've made it almost a week with little sickey and her profuse snot. She has been quite a handful, fairly whimpery, and pretty sad at times. Thank goodness she is on the mend, but it sure is taking a long time for the snot to clear up. Dahlia now recognizes the blue bulb syringe (snot sucker) as her nemesis and thrashes her head to and fro when she sees it coming. She has been waking up a lot more at night because of the difficulty she has with breathing, and sleeping well only if I hold her at just the right angle. Mama is sleepy.

She has been in a pretty good mood in the past few days despite the snot, talking and smiling a lot, which helps to keep us all going. In fact, she has started 'talking', by which we mean that she has found her voice and it sounds like she says, "Hiiiiii!" The great part is that she kind of uses it conversationally, where one of us will say, "Hi", and she'll say it back. Which is quite charming and makes it difficult to complete a diaper change in under a half an hour. (The changing table is where she's most chatty.) It is a good thing she is so darn cute.

Here is a recent bath time picture featuring the new chaise-lounge bath chair I got for her. Now she has more freedom to wiggle and splash in the bath, which she likes.
